Modern Slavery Statement
Introduction
Class Technology Solutions Limited is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business operations and supply chains. We uphold ethical business practices and take proactive measures to ensure that slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking have no place in our organisation or those we work with.
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the steps we take to assess and mitigate the risks of modern slavery within our business and supply chains.
Our business
Class Technology Solutions Limited provides ICT Managed Services to schools and other organisations across the UK. Our operations involve the provision of IT support, procurement of hardware and software, and collaboration with various suppliers and contractors.
We recognise that the ICT sector can be exposed to risks of modern slavery, particularly within global supply chains related to hardware manufacturing and procurement. We are committed to working only with ethical suppliers and ensuring that our business practices align with our values.
Our policies
We may collect and process a range of personal data, including:
- Supplier Code of Conduct – requiring suppliers to adhere to fair labour practices, ethical working conditions, and compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.
- Procurement Policy – ensuring we conduct due diligence when selecting suppliers and partners.
- Whistleblowing Policy – encouraging employees and third parties to report concerns regarding unethical practices, including human rights abuses.
- Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy – ensuring business integrity and ethical conduct in all dealings.
Risk assessment and due diligence
To mitigate the risk of modern slavery, we undertake:
- Supplier Risk Assessments – evaluating new and existing suppliers, particularly those in high-risk regions or industries.
- Contractual Commitments – requiring suppliers to confirm compliance with the Modern Slavery Act and uphold fair labour practices.
- Audits and Monitoring – conducting periodic checks on supply chain partners to ensure ethical compliance.
- Employee Training – educating employees on recognising and addressing modern slavery risks.
Training and awareness
We provide training for relevant employees, particularly those in procurement and supplier management roles, to help them identify risks of modern slavery and ensure responsible sourcing.
Reporting and compliance
Employees, suppliers, and third parties are encouraged to report any concerns related to modern slavery through our confidential reporting channels. We take all reports seriously and investigate them promptly.
Any supplier found to be in breach of our modern slavery commitments may have their contract terminated, and we will take appropriate corrective action.
Effectiveness and monitoring
CTS monitors the effectiveness of its approach to preventing modern slavery through:
- Supplier compliance checks and contractual adherence review of any reported concerns or incidents through whistleblowing channels
- Periodic review of procurement and supplier management practices
- Internal review of policy implementation and training completed
Our commitment to continuous improvement
We recognise that addressing modern slavery requires ongoing efforts. We will continue to review and improve our policies, procedures, and supply chain management practices to enhance transparency and ethical compliance.
