Class Technology Solutions Ltd (CTS) is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with UK Government requirements under PPN 06/21.

This page sets out our current emissions baseline and the actions we will take to reduce it.

Our operational footprint

This plan covers CTS’s UK operations. This includes office-based work, remote support, field engineering activity, business travel, and ICT supply.

Our service model combines remote support with on-site delivery. This has a direct impact on how emissions arise, particularly through travel.

Baseline emissions (2025)

Our first full assessment of emissions has been completed for the 2025 reporting year.

• Scope 1 (direct emissions): 0.0 tCO2e
• Scope 2 (purchased electricity): 2.4 tCO2e
• Scope 3 (business travel – car): 44.4 tCO2e
• Scope 3 (employee commuting): 30.0 tCO2e
• Scope 3 (purchased goods / hardware): 12.75 tCO2e
• Scope 3 (cloud and data services): 6.0 tCO2e

Total emissions: 97.05 tCO2e

Business travel represents the largest share of CTS emissions due to the field-based nature of service delivery.

How we measured this

This is CTS’s first year of formal emissions reporting.

Where direct data is available, it has been used. Where it is not, estimates have been based on operational activity using conservative assumptions. UK Government conversion factors have been applied where relevant.

We will refine this over time as more direct data becomes available.

How we will reduce emissions

• Business travel will be reduced through increased use of remote support and tighter regional scheduling of field engineers
• ICT equipment will be retained in service for longer where appropriate, reducing replacement cycles and associated embodied carbon
• We will work with suppliers to obtain clearer product-level emissions data to improve reporting and inform future purchasing decisions
• Hybrid working will continue to reduce commuting across the business

Ongoing measurement

We will review emissions annually and update this plan each year.

Future reports will track changes against this baseline and show where reductions have been achieved.

Governance

This plan has been reviewed and approved by CTS senior management. Responsibility for delivery sits within the leadership team.
